The never-ending saga of Bollywood borrowing from Pakistan continues and this time, they didn’t even try to hide it. The freshly released song “Danger” from the upcoming film Param Sundari is raising eyebrows (and laughs) for its striking resemblance to “Laal Suit”, a Pakistani track that’s already a hit among fans of the drama Mannat Murad.
Featuring Iqra Aziz and Talha Chahour, Laal Suit became a sensation with its infectious energy and catchy melody. It wasn’t just a drama OST it was a cultural moment. So when Danger dropped on August 21, complete with similar beats and even a “red outfit” reference, it didn’t take long for the internet to connect the dots.
And then came the storm. Side-by-side edits. Memes. Receipts. Pakistani netizens didn’t just call it out they dragged it into the spotlight. Because let’s face it: Bollywood’s “creative inspiration” has a Pakistani address, and we’ve seen this episode too many times before.
Let’s also not ignore the pattern. One day, they’re claiming to shoot down Pakistani jets. The next, they say they “entered” Karachi. And now? They’re back to sneaking into Pakistani playlists, hoping no one notices as they pass off our music as theirs. Honestly, it’s not “inspiration” anymore its habitual theft.
Of course, Pakistan doesn’t need to whine we just win. While Bollywood clings to remixes and reboots, Pakistan continues to deliver fresh, original sound whether it’s drama OSTs, Coke Studio hits, or viral anthems. Even Indian artists like Shilpa Rao are now acknowledging Pakistan’s musical dominance, calling Coke Studio our “main thing.”
And this isn’t the first time Bollywood got caught. Back in 2022, JugJugg Jeeyo used Abrar-ul-Haq’s “Nach Punjaban” without permission, sparking global backlash. Today, it’s Laal Suit. Tomorrow? Probably another Pakistani song, slightly remixed, slapped on a big-budget film and still lacking the magic only authenticity can create.
