Former Pakistan cricketer Sania Khan’s photo with Virat Kohli goes viral

LONDON: A photograph of former Pakistan women’s cricketer Sania Khan with Indian cricket star Virat Kohli has gone viral, leading to a mix-up in some Indian media outlets. The image, shared by Sania Khan on her social media, prompted several Indian news platforms to mistakenly identify her as just a fan.

The picture was taken at Lord’s during an indoor training session. Sania Khan, who now works as a cricket coach in England, posted the photo alongside another one with a fellow coach, expressing her excitement about working at the prestigious cricket venue.

She mentioned that it was not an easy journey to get to Lord’s and was thrilled about her new role.

In an interview, Sania clarified the circumstances surrounding the photo. “I met Virat Kohli last week. He was at Lord’s for a net session, and I got the opportunity to take a picture with him,” she explained.

The former cricketer has been in England for three years, where she completed several coaching courses to become part of the coaching team at Lord’s, where she will now be working with young female cricketers.
