Sindh announces holiday for all educational institutions on Aug 15

KARACHI: The Sindh government has declared a holiday for all public and private educational institutions across the province on August 15 in observance of the Chehlum of Hazrat Imam Hussain (RA).

According to an official notification, schools, colleges, and universities will remain closed on that day.

It is noteworthy that the provincial government had also declared a public holiday today, August 9 (Saturday).

The Sindh government announced a general holiday on the occasion of the Urs of Sufi poet Shah Abdul Latif Bhittai, whose notification was also issued.
