
Six militants
Bannu : Six terrorists in a successful intelligence-based joint operation conducted by the Police and Counter-Terrorism Department (CTD) in the Miryan area of Bannu.
According to officials, the operation targeted terrorist hideouts, which were completely destroyed during the assault. The action was part of an ongoing effort to dismantle militant networks in the region.
According to Regional Police Officer (RPO) Bannu Sajjad Khan, six terrorists have been killed in an operation since last night and said have been arrested in a critical condition.
RPO Bannu added that 25 suspects have also been arrested during the operation.
Further investigations are underway to identify the killed militants and their affiliations.
Earleir, at least three terrorists affiliated with the banned outfit “Fitna al-Khawarij” were killed during an operation by the Counter-Terrorism Department (CTD) in Manghopir area of Karachi.
According to CTD In-charge Raja Umar Khattab, the operation was conducted in collaboration with a security agency following intelligence reports about the presence of militants in a residential building.
During the raid, a fierce exchange of gunfire took place between the CTD personnel and the terrorists, resulting in the deaths of all three suspects on the spot.
The operation was launched based on confirmed intelligence regarding the presence of Khawarij-linked terrorists in the area.
