Music Star Brett James, wife and stepdaughter killed in plane crash

FRANKLIN: Grammy-winning country music singer and songwriter Brett James was killed along with his wife and stepdaughter in a plane crash near Franklin, North Carolina.

The private aircraft, a Cirrus SR22T, went down in an open field shortly after departing from John C. Tune Airport in Nashville. The plane was en route to North Carolina when it crashed.

Authorities confirmed that the 57-year-old musician, his wife Melody Wilson, and his stepdaughter Meryl Maxwell Wilson were all on board and died in the accident.
