Rat attacks
INDORE: In a shocking incident, two newborns were bitten by a rat inside a major government hospital in Madhya Pradesh’s Indore city, Indian media reported.
According to reports, the infants were admitted to the neonatal intensive care unit (NICU) due to weakness. The rat allegedly bit one baby on the finger and the other on the shoulder.
Hospital administration stated that one of the infants, a baby girl weighing 1.2 kilograms, had been admitted with pneumonia, while the second, weighing 1.6 kilograms, was on a ventilator. Both were bitten by a rat – one on the finger and the other on the shoulder.
Authorities clarified that the baby girl’s death was not caused by the rat bite but due to her pre-existing medical condition.
The incident has triggered outrage and raised serious concerns about hospital hygiene and patient safety standards, prompting an official inquiry.
Earlier, in a peculiar twist of modern love, a young man in India allegedly cut off electricity to an entire village after repeatedly failing to reach his girlfriend over the phone.
The now-viral video shows the man scaling an electric pole with a massive pair of pliers in hand. Moments later, he is seen snipping through power lines, reportedly plunging his girlfriend’s village into complete darkness.
According to local media, the man was infuriated that his girlfriend’s phone was constantly busy and suspected she might be speaking with someone else. Instead of addressing his concerns through a conversation, he took matters—quite literally—into his own hands.
