RAWALPINDI: Security forces on Thursday killed four terrorists during an intelligence-based operation(IBO) in Khuzdar district, Balochistan, the military’s media wing said.
According to the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), the operation was carried out on September 17 following reports about the presence of militants linked to the India-backed network “Fitna al-Hindustan.”
A heavy exchange of fire took place during the operation, resulting in the killing of four terrorists.
The ISPR further stated that security forces successfully targeted the militants’ hideout, where arms, ammunition, and explosive materials were also recovered.
The ISPR said the terrorists had been actively involved in several terrorist activities in the area while a clearance operation is underway to eliminate any potentially hidden terrorist in the area.
The ISPR further said that security forces remain fully committed to eradicating the menace of India-sponsored terrorism from the country and vowed that all perpetrators of terrorism will be brought to justice.
