Three children killed and five injured in Laghari area of Bajaur when explosive material left behind by extremist militants detonated. The children were playing with the explosive devices abandoned by the terrorists when the blast took place.

Prompt action by the Pakistan Army resulted in the injured children being airlifted to Peshawar via helicopter. The wounded are currently receiving treatment under the supervision of expert doctors at CMH Peshawar.

Police and relevant authorities have cordoned off the site and collected evidence for further investigation.

This incident highlights the dangerous network of explosive devices that the extremists have laid across the region. These militants have historically used mosques and homes as shields for their terror activities.

Previously, in the Tirah Valley, similar explosions of stored explosives by these terrorists resulted in the deaths of several innocent civilians and 14 militants.
