
Rawalpindi: Security forces have eliminated 30 Fitna al-Khawarij terrorists involved in the recent deadly attack in the Orakzai district, according to security sources.
The operation targeted terrorists allegedly affiliated with the Indian proxy network Fitna al-Khawarij, who were responsible for the martyrdom of Lieutenant Colonel Junaid Tariq, Major Tayyab Rahat, and nine other soldiers.
The intelligence-based operation was launched on the night of October 7 and 8 in response to credible reports about the militants’ presence.
According to the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), 19 of the slain militants were Indian-sponsored, and their elimination dealt a significant blow to the terrorist network operating in the region.
During the fierce exchange of fire, Lieutenant Colonel Junaid Tariq (39, Rawalpindi) and Major Tayyab Rahat (33, Rawalpindi) embraced martyrdom while bravely leading their troops from the front.
Nine other soldiers also lost their lives in the line of duty.

The ISPR hailed the bravery of the martyred officers and soldiers, stating they displayed extraordinary courage and unwavering commitment to the nation.
Security sources emphasized that operations will continue until terrorism is completely eradicated from all parts of the country.
