“A good teacher shapes society”: CM Punjab honors educators

Lahore: On the occasion of World Teachers’ Day, Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif issued a heartfelt message honoring educators throughout the province for their invaluable contributions.

Emphasizing the profound respect teachers deserve, she said, “Millions of blessings be upon the greatest teacher, Hazrat Muhammad (PBUH). One day is not enough to acknowledge the greatness of a teacher.”

Highlighting the indispensable role of educators in society, the Chief Minister stated, “Teachers are the most credible and respected class of society. I salute the greatness of every teacher, including my own esteemed teachers.”

She also referenced a recent initiative where awards were presented not only to academic achievers but also to their dedicated teachers, recognizing their crucial role in shaping both knowledge and character. “The teacher not only imparts knowledge but also introduces us to moral values and traditions,” she added.

Concluding her message, Maryam Nawaz Sharif underscored the transformative power of education, saying, “A good teacher alone can lay the foundation for positive change in society.”
