
Karachi: British High Commissioner to Pakistan, Ms. Jane Marriott, called on Sindh Home Minister Zia-ul-Hassan Lanjar at his office, accompanied by a three-member delegation.
The meeting included detailed discussions on bilateral relations, security cooperation, police reforms, and other matters of mutual interest.
The British High Commissioner Jane Marriott expressed satisfaction over the overall law and order situation in Sindh and appreciated the Sindh government’s vision for modern and progressive policing.
She stated that success in the fight against crime depends on advanced technology, effective techniques, and their proper implementation.
Sindh Home Minister Zia-ul-Hassan Lanjar remarked that the Government of Sindh highly values international cooperation and is committed to ensuring a safe and peaceful environment for the public while promoting free business activity.
The meeting was also attended by Additional Chief Secretary Iqbal Memon, Inspector General of Sindh Police Ghulam Nabi Memon, Addl. IGP Special Branch Zulfiqar Larik, and other senior officials.
At the conclusion of the meeting, both sides reaffirmed their commitment to continuing joint efforts for global peace and security.
