ISLAMABAD: A local court in Islamabad has issued non-bailable arrest warrants for former Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister Ali Amin Gandapur in a case pertaining to the recovery of liquor and weapons.
The case was heard by Judicial Magistrate Mubashir Hassan at the Islamabad District and Sessions Court. Despite the case being called for hearing, Gandapur failed to appear before the court.
Following his repeated absence, the court issued non-bailable arrest warrants against the former chief minister and adjourned the proceedings.
The Judicial Magistrate has ordered the police to arrest Ali Amin Gandapur and produce him in the next hearing while the next hearing of the case has been adjourned till October 28.
It should be noted that the case of recovery of liquor and arms against Ali Amin Gandapur is registered in Barakahu police station of Islamabad.
