KARACHI: Gold prices in Pakistan continued their downward trend on Tuesday, with a significant decline of Rs14, 000 per tola, according to the All Pakistan Gems and Jewellers Association (APGJA).
Following the latest reduction, the price of 24-karat gold now stands at Rs416, 362 per tola. Similarly, the rate for 10 grams of gold has fallen by Rs12, 003, bringing it down to Rs356, 963.
The APGJA further reported that the international gold price has fallen by $140, settling at $3,940 per ounce.
Gold hit an all-time high of Rs456,900 per tola on October 17, 2025, but has since declined by Rs40,500 over the past 11 days, reflecting a significant correction in both global and local bullion markets.
Analysts attribute the sustained downward trend to a combination of global price adjustments and the strengthening of the Pakistani rupee against the US dollar.
Earlier, Gold prices in Pakistan dropped sharply on Wednesday, October 22, 2025, following the downward trend in the international market, according to the All-Pakistan Gems and Jewellers Sarafa Association (APGJSA).
The price of 24-karat gold per tola went down by Rs 7,538, closing at Rs 437,362 compared to Rs 444,900 a day earlier. Likewise, the price of 10 grams of 24-karat gold fell by Rs 6,463, reaching Rs 374,967 from Rs 381,430.
In the global market, gold also recorded a major fall of $85 per ounce, slipping to $4,150 from $4,235 the previous day. Silver prices in Pakistan also declined, with the rate per tola dropping by Rs 151 to Rs 4,959 from Rs 5,110.
