Rain expected in various parts of country
The Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD) has issued a rain forecast for several regions across the country.
According to the PMD, most areas are expected to experience dry weather today, while hilly regions may remain cold during the night and early morning hours.
Light rain is expected at a few locations in upper Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. The weather in Islamabad and surrounding areas is likely to remain dry, while Murree, Galiyat, and nearby hilly areas are expected to remain cold.
There is a chance of rain at a few places in Chitral, Dir, Kohistan, and upper Swat. Most districts in Sindh and Balochistan are expected to remain dry and cold.
Dry and cold conditions are also expected in Azad Kashmir and Gilgit-Baltistan. During the past 24 hours, most parts of the country experienced dry weather, while hilly areas remained cold.
Meanwhile, Karachi is expected to remain hot during the day and cool at night. According to the PMD, the rise in temperature is due to northwesterly winds blowing from Balochistan.
As per the Early Warning Centre of the Meteorological Department, daytime heat in Karachi is expected to intensify, with maximum temperatures potentially exceeding 38°C.
Despite the expected rise in daytime temperatures, nights in the city are likely to remain cool.
