QUETTA: Security forces carried out a successful joint intelligence-based operation against Indian-sponsored terrorists in the Ghaza Band area on the outskirts of Quetta, neutralizing 10 militants involved in various terrorist activities, security sources said on Wednesday.
According to credible intelligence, a terrorist group was present in the mountainous region of Ghaza Band, believed to be involved in multiple acts of terrorism.
Acting on this information, security forces launched a joint operation, during which an intense exchange of fire took place between the troops and the militants.
During the firefight, 10 terrorists were killed, while two security personnel sustained injuries, the sources added. A large cache of weapons and ammunition was also recovered from the slain terrorists during the operation.
Security forces and law enforcement agencies reaffirmed their resolve to eradicate terrorism from the country, vowing to continue intelligence-based operations to dismantle all networks threatening Pakistan’s peace and stability.
Earlier, On the night between September 14 and 15, security forces conducted a successful intelligence-based operation in Khuzdar, Balochistan, following credible information about the presence of Indian proxy “Fitna-e-Hindustan” terrorists in the area.
During the operation, terrorist hideouts were targeted, resulting in the killing of 5 Indian-sponsored terrorists after heavy exchange of fire.
Weapons, ammunition, and explosive materials were also recovered from the terrorists’ possession. The slain terrorists were involved in multiple terror-related activities in the region.
