Teacher sacked after brutal assault on special child in Karachi

KARACHI: A shocking case of child abuse has emerged from a special education centre in Karachi’s Gulshan-e-Iqbal, where a teacher was caught on camera assaulting a special needs student.

The incident, which took place on September 26, came to light after CCTV footage showing a female teacher physically assaulting a child went viral on social media.

A First Information Report (FIR) was registered on October 2 under relevant sections pertaining to assault, on the complaint of the Sindh Empowerment of Persons with Disabilities Department.

The management of the institute has terminated the teacher involved, while police have stated that the suspect will be arrested soon.

The disturbing footage has sparked outrage among parents and social media users, raising renewed concerns about the safety and welfare of children with special needs in educational institutions.
