LAHORE: In a major crackdown on the illegal medicine trade, the Drug Regulatory Authority of Pakistan (DRAP), in collaboration with the Punjab Drug Control Authority, seized a massive cache of unregistered and prohibited medicines, including Tramadol, worth millions of rupees.

The operation, conducted across Lahore, also uncovered raw materials and packaging used in the manufacturing of illicit drugs. Authorities confirmed that action against distributors and other elements involved in the illegal trade is ongoing.

DRAP and provincial drug officials emphasized that the raid was part of their continued efforts to safeguard public health and eliminate unregistered and dangerous medicines from the market.

The seizure highlights the growing crackdown on narcotics and illicit pharmaceutical networks in the city.
