Gold continues
KARACHI: Gold prices once again increased across the country, continuing the upward trend in the domestic market.
According to the All Pakistan Gems and Jewellers Association, the price of gold rose by Rs3,700 per tola, reaching Rs423,062.
Similarly, the price of 10 grams of gold increased by Rs3,122, bringing the new rate to Rs362,707.
Meanwhile, in the international market, gold gained USD 37, climbing to USD 4,007 per ounce.
Earlier, after a brief rise, gold prices in Pakistan fell sharply due to changes in international rates.
According to the All Pakistan Sarafa Gems and Jewellers Association, the price of 24-karat gold dropped by Rs1,000 to Rs419,362 per tola.
In the local market, the price of 10 grams of 24-karat gold dropped by Rs857 to Rs359,535, while 10 grams of 22-karat gold fell by Rs678 to Rs329,585, as per the APGJSA.
In the global market, gold prices also went down by $10 to $3,970 per ounce. This decline was mainly due to the strengthening of major currencies and a cautious approach by investors
