According to Rafi-ul-Haq, spokesperson for the Horticulture Society, the deaths might be linked to poisoning. He said that crows and kites often feed on garbage, and they could have eaten something toxic from contaminated waste.

A team from the Sindh Wildlife Department later visited the park to look into the matter. However, since the garbage bins had already been cleared, no evidence could be collected, and no dead birds were found during their inspection.

The situation has raised concerns about environmental health and waste management in Karachi.
