Former Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif has been shifted to Services Hospital amidst strict security for medical checkup.

According to the details, a National Accountability Bureau (NAB) team shifted Pakistan Muslim League Nawaz (PML-N) supremo to the hospital after his health worsened in Kot Lakhpat jail.

The sources further stated that a medical board has been formed which heady by Professor Mahmood Ayaz for medical checkup of the former premier.

Nawaz Sharif’s physician Dr. Adnan Malik took to Twitter and said “Former PM Nawaz Sharif is detected to have critically low Platelet Count (16*10^9/L) that could be due to multiple pathologies & requires immediate in-hospital care. I’ve requested the concerned authorities to act in urgency please.”

He further stated “Today met former PM Nawaz Sharif for consultation & evaluation. He’s visibly unwell & has multiple serious life-threatening health issues of acute nature. I’ve recommended immediate hospitalization for workup & treatment. The matter is of utmost urgency.”

It should be noted that the former Premier is serving a seven-year imprisonment in Kot Lakhpat jail in the Al-Azizia Steel Mills case.

Nawaz Sharif was convicted by an accountability court on December 24 and sentenced to seven years in jail and a massive fine of $25 million.

According to details, the registrar’s office of IHC issued the same date, October 29, for the hearing of National Accountability Bureau’s (NAB) appeal for an extension of the former prime minister’s sentence.

Nawaz Sharif challenged the Supreme Court’s decision in the case regarding a secretly filmed video of former accountability court judge Arshad Malik, who convicted the Nawaz Sharif in the Al-Azizia corruption reference.

The Islamabad High Court will hear the narrative of second party on October 29.
