Sindh summons army for Chehlum security

Recommendation to summon Army in Sindh Army to organize the Chehlum procession of Hazrat Imam Hussain (RA) in peaceful environment across the province including Karachi.

According to the details, on the occasion of Chehlum, the Federal Home Ministry wrote a letter to Sindh Home Department asking for the army, Rangers and FC personnel owing to ensure foolproof security arrangements in the province.

As per the proposal, 26 companies will be called for 6 divisions across Sindh including Karachi while 3,000 198 Rangers will be deployed in five divisions across Sindh and 9 FC companies will be deployed in Karachi.

9 army companies sought security at Chehlum in Karachi City, three companies in Hyderabad and Mirpurkhas, five army companies were summoned for Sukkur and Larkana division while a military company was summoned for Shaheed Benazir Division.
