
Prime Minister Imran Khan has been gifted a Proton car by Malaysian counterpart, Mahathir Mohamad, according to sources.
The X-70 Proton will be handed over to PM Imran Khan in a ceremony.
The car will be received by the Financial Advisor on trade, Razzak Dawood.
The Malaysian Prime Minister had announced the gift for Prime Minister Imran Khan during his visit to Pakistan earlier in August.
Mahathir Mohamad had also announced to set up an assembly plant of the vehicle manufacturer in Pakistan.
PROTON Holdings Berhad is a Malaysian automotive company and automobile corporation active in automobile design, manufacturing, distribution and sales.
Mahathir Bin Mohamad was appointed prime minister of Malaysia in 1981, retired in 2003, and returned to the office in 2018.
Earlier, Foreign Minister Shah Mahmood Qureshi called on Malaysian Prime Minister Mahathir Bin Mohamad in Kuala Lumpur.
Matters of Mutual interest, bilateral relations, challenges being faced by the Muslim Ummah and other issues were came under discussion in the meeting.
Speaking on the occasion, FM Qureshi said that Pakistan and Malaysia enjoyed brotherly relationship and stood by each other in difficult times.
Yesterday, Prime Minister Imran Khan visited Roza-e-Rasool (SAW) in Madina Munawwara during his one-day trip to the holy city.
According to the details. PM Imran khan is on official visit to Saudi Arabia and he started his engagements after offering Nawafil in the holy mosque of Madina Munawwara.
Earlier on his arrival, The premier was received by Deputy Governor of Madina and Consul General of Pakistan in Jeddah Khalid Majeed.
On his visit to the holy site, officials of Saudi protocol and officers of Pakistan Consulate were also present.
Foreign Secretary Sohail Mahmood is also part of Prime Minister’s entourage.
PM Imran Khan also met Saudi King Salman bin Abdul Aziz and crown Prince Mohammad bin Salman.
During the meeting, PM Imran Khan discussed issues related to mutual interest between both brotherly Islamic countries.
