
The 100th birth anniversary of prominent scholar, medical researcher, philanthropist and former Governor Sindh Hakeem Muhammad Saeed observed today.
Hakeem Muhammad Saeed authored and compiled 200 books on different subjects and founded Hamdard University in 1991.
Hakeem Saeed assassinated on 17th October 1998 in Karachi.
However Hakeem Saeed awarded Sitara-i-Imtiaz in 1966 and Nishan-i-Imtiaz in 2002 in recognition of his services.
His organization which mainly focused on traditional medicine later went on to diversify in fields of higher education, publishing and social work.

He always very fond of interacting with children and a popular figure among them through his writing from a children magazine, Naunehal.
Hakim Saeed also served as Governor of Sindh.
