COAS Qamar Bajwa calls on Italian Ambassador

RAWALPINDI: Chief of Army Staff General Qamar Javed Bajwa held meeting with Italian Ambassador at GHQ.

According to the details, Italian Ambassador to Pakistan Stefano Pontecorvo paid a farewell call to Chief of Army Staff (COAS) General Qamar Javed Bajwa at GHQ on Tuesday.

According to a press release issued by the ISPR, COAS thanked the Italian ambassador for his services in Pakistan and acknowledged his contributions towards strengthening the relations between Pakistan and Italy.

The COAS also congratulated the ambassador on his appointment as Civil Senior Representative of North Atlantic Treaty Organization (NATO) in Afghanistan.

COAS meets President AJ&K, assures support to Kashmir cause

Earlier today, The Chief of Army Staff (COAS) General Qamar Javed Bajwa has assured Pakistan army’s full support and commitment to the Kashmir cause and its people.

The assurance was reiterated when the President Azad Jammu and Kashmir (AJ&K) Sardar Masood Khan met the COAS at Pakistan army’s general headquarters in Rawalpindi on Tuesday.

The Inter Services Public Relations (ISPR) said that during the meeting, matters of mutual interest particularly situation on the Line of Control (LOC) and Indian Occupied Jammu and Kashmir (IoJ&K) were discussed.

The COAS assured the AJ&K president of Pakistan army’s full support and commitment to the Kashmir cause and its people.
