
Chief Minister of Punjab (CM Punjab) Usman Buzdar said on Tuesday that we will defeat Coronavirus.
Addressing press conference regarding to coronavirus situation in Punjab he said government has decided to reduce the vacations and school fees all across the province.
CM Punjab said Recruitment of doctors, nurses and paramedics staff has been approved.
Usman Buzdar said that Municipal elections have been decided to postpone 9 months
He also said 11 billion funds have been released to from the Ministry of Health.
Usman Buzdar said curfew is not imposed in Punjab, people are allowed to move however only when its necessary.
Earlier Lahore reported first death due to the deadly coronavirus taking the country toll to 7.
Provincial Minister of Punjab for primary and secondary healthcare, Dr Yasmin Rashid confirmed on her official twitter handle.
In her Tweet She wrote:
Unfortunately, a #COVID19 Patient Afrasiyab, aged 57, who was admitted in Mayo Hospital, lost his life today. These are indeed difficult times for the whole country. Only way we can fight this pandemic is by staying indoors and following the precautionary measures.
r the sixth death reported in Balochistan where spokesperson, Liaquat Shahwani confirmed the province’s first death from the virus on Sunday in a tweet.
The deceased was a 65-year-old man, under treatment at the Fatima Jinnah Chest Hospital, according to Shahwani.
Earlier, a doctor from Gilgit Baltistan reported as the country’s fifth death.
On Sunday morning, Adviser to Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister on Information Ajmal Wazir announced the country’s fourth death from the virus, while speaking to the media.
Wazir said that the test results of a woman who had arrived from Taftan and shifted to Dera Ismail Khan had come as positive today, making it the province’s third coronavirus related death.
On Friday, Pakistan had recorded its third death from the virus. Sindh Health Minister Dr Azra Fazal Pechuho had confirmed the death of a 77-year-old coronavirus patient in the province.
Last week, two patients from KP who tested positive for the coronavirus had died, officials said.
However, both had a travel history in countries that hit by the outbreak. The patient from Sindh who passed away on Friday was the first death from the local transmission of the virus.
