The total number of deaths from the novel coronavirus surge to eight after a patient expired in Punjab and the total number of coronavirus cases rises to 1,059 after new cases were reported in KPK, Punjab and Balochistan on Wednesday.

The national coronavirus dashboard, launched by the federal ministry of health, reported that one more patient of coronavirus has died  taking the toll to eight.

On Tuesday a patient from Punjab passed away. Provincial Minister of Punjab for primary and secondary healthcare, Dr Yasmin Rashid confirmed on her official twitter handle.

In her Tweet She wrote:

“Unfortunately, a #COVID19 Patient Afrasiyab, aged 57, who was admitted in Mayo Hospital, lost his life today. These are indeed difficult times for the whole country. Only way we can fight this pandemic is by staying indoors and following the precautionary measures.”

Earlier, a doctor from GB died. He was screening pilgrims who were returning to Pakistan from Iran. He was tested positive for coronavirus.

On March 22, Ajmal Wazir Adviser to Chief Minister on Information Khyber Pakhtunkhwa confirmed the country’s fourth death from the coronavirus.

Pakistan’s third death was reported on March 20 Dr Azra Fazal Pechuho Sindh Health Minister had confirmed the death of a 77-year-.

Two people from KP who were reported the country’s first deaths.
