
Pakistan Ulema Council (PUC) on Monday asked the people to stay indoor for making the lock down a success which aimed at preventing the coronavirus outbreak.
According to the details, In a press release, the council called on people to stay indoors and do Zikr(remembrance of Allah) to keep safe from the virus. The PUC directed people to implement the government’s safety precautions and cooperate with authorities.
“The safety precautions and directives issued by various Islamic countries against the coronavirus are neither against the tenets of Islam nor Shariah,” read the press release.
The press release also said, “Islam calls on Muslims to keep themselves as well as others safe. Saving a life is akin to saving the whole of humanity.”
Chairman PUC Hafiz Tahir Mehmood Ashrafi and others said in a statement that the health experts have emphasised the people to confine themselves at home to avoid the spread of pandemic. The people are bound to follow the instructions of the experts and government.
PPP chairman Bilawal to call APC on coronavirus outbreak
Earlier today, Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari has decided to call all-party conference (APC) on dealing with the coronavirus pandemic in the country.
According to the details, He has contacted leaders of political parties yesterday to convene an all-party conference (APC) on the COVID-19 pandemic.
He telephoned the leaders of the PML-N, Jamiat Ulema-e Islam, MQM Pakistan, PML-Q, Balochistan National Party (BNP) and Awami National Party (ANP).
