
Minister for Science and Technology Fawad Chaudhry said that he will be skipping a session of the National Assembly after a few MNAs and staff tested positive for the virus.
“From the first day, I have been saying that the session should be via a video link. Why are we putting the country’s political leadership in unnecessary danger?” Chaudhry tweeted. He said After the positive test of many members and staff, I have decided that I will not attend the assembly session today. From the first day, I have been saying that the session should be on video link.

The National Assembly is scheduled to meet today at 3 pm to discuss and debate the current situation in the country arising out of the novel coronavirus pandemic. The National Assembly session was summoned by President Arif Alvi last week.
As per details, National Assembly will be meeting today to discuss the current situation in country amid the rapidly increasing coronavirus. However it is pertinent to mention that the Speaker of National Assembly Asad Qaiser is currently suffering from the virus. Prime Minister of Pakistan Imran Khan and Army Chief General Qamar Javed Bajwa earlier inquired about his health and prayed for his speed recovery on phone.
