
Punjab government has decided to reopen restaurants and theaters after Eid-ul-Fitr amid coronavirus outbreak.
As per details, Chief Minister of Punjab Sardar Usman Buzadar has given approval on opening or theaters and restaurants across the province after Eid.
In addition to this, CM has sought standard operating procedures (SOPs) from Information and Culture Department in this regard. The decision was taken in the wake of increasing financial crisis of artists.
On the other hand Special Assistant to Prime Minister on Health Dr Zafar Mirza has warned the coronavirus situation could further worsen if the people do not follow the precautionary measures.
Dr Mirza, in a press conference, said the country had recorded 2,603 new coronavirus cases with 50 deaths in the last 24 hours which was the highest rise in a single day.
Zafar Mirza also appealed the people to follow the SOPs agreed for Ramadan in the prayers of Juma-tul-Wida and Eid. Zafar Mirza said it has been made compulsory for the people to wear masks at any gathering or while using the public transport. He said this will help the people to keep themselves and others safe from the contagion.
