Former Speaker NA Ayaz Sadiq tests COVID-19 positive

Former Speaker National Assembly and Pakistan Muslim League Nawaz leader Ayaz Sadiq has been tested positive for the novel Coronavirus.

According to the details, Pakistan Muslim League (Nawaz) PMLN media cell confirmed that former speaker of national assembly Sardar Ayaz Sadiq has contracted coronavirus.

After getting positive result, he quarantined himself.

Earlier, Islamabad Mayor Sheikh Anser Aziz has also been infected with the novel coronavirus.

In a Twitter post, the mayor confirmed the news. According to the Metropolitan Corporation Islamabad, the mayor has gone into self-isolation at his residence.

Aziz has recently been in the media over his rift with the government.

In May, the federal government suspended him for 90 days, but had to withdraw its decision soon after as Aziz challenged his suspension in the court.
