Special Assistant to the Prime Minister Sania Nishtar said that more than Rs 153.55 billion has been distributed across the country under the Ehsaas Program.

On the social networking site Twitter, She shared the details of the amount distributed and the recipient under the Ehsas program and highlighted the work being done under the program across the country.

Dr. Sania Nishter said that so far more than Rs. 153.55 billion has been distributed among more than 12.68 million working people across the country through Ehsas Emergency Cash Program.

It may be recalled that in her recent statement, Sania Nishtar said that there is no way for political interference and nepotism in the Ehsas Emergency Cash program, transparency in this social security program is our top priority.

Till the 7th of this month, Rs 149.97 billion was distributed to more than 12.39 million working people in Pakistan.

She tweeted, “So far, more than Rs 149.97 billion has been distributed to more than 12.39 million working people across the country through Ehsaas Emergency Cash.”

She said  67.156 billion rupees have been distributed to people in Punjab, 44.902 billion in Sindh, 25.874 billion rupees in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, 7.604 billion rupees in Balochistan, 1.081 billion rupees in Gilgit-Baltistan, 2.473 billion rupees in Azad Kashmir and 780 million rupees in Islamabad Capital Territory.

Coronavirus Cases in Pakistan

Pakistan on Wednesday reported 2,165 coronavirus cases and 67 deaths over the past 24 hours, taking the national tally of cases to 253,601 and fatalities to 5,386.

According to the National Command and Operation Centre (NCOC) latest figures, 2,165 new cases were detected after 21,769 tests were conducted in the last 24 hours.

77,573 coronavirus patients are undergoing treatment while 172,810 patients have recovered their health from the deadly virus. 16,27,939 tests have been conducted across the country so far.
