Captain (R) Safdar ordered to produce before court in NAB office attack case

A court has on Tuesday ordered to produce Pakistan Muslim League Nawaz (PML-N) leader Captain (R) Safdar in National Accountability Bureau (NAB) office attack case during the appearance of Maryam Nawaz.

A district kachehri summoned Captain (R) Safdar Awan in the NAB office attack case.

Judicial magistrate Hafiz Nafees conducted the hearing of the case where the prosecution told him about non-compliance of the orders by accused persons despite being summoned.

Later, the district kachehri issued bailable arrest warrants of the accused and adjourned the hearing till December 5.

Earlier on October 17, an anti-terrorism court (ATC) had extended interim bail of PML-N leaders Rana Sanaullah and Captain (R) Safdar until October 20.

The counsels for Sanaullah and Safdar appeared in court as it resumed hearing of NAB office attack case.

They requested the court to put off the hearing for the time being saying they will begin forwarding arguments in the case on October 19.

Sanaullah’s lawyer had stated before the judge that police had arrested as many as 58 persons from outside the NAB Lahore office.

It should be noted that a clash had broken out between the PML-N activists and police on August 11th, during Maryam Nawaz’s appearance before the NAB office.

Maryam Nawaz’s bulletproof vehicle’s glass had been broken after a stone hit it while the police had taken action and arrested the PML-N activists.

Later, PML-N central vice president Maryam Nawaz said that Imran Khan’s only goal now is to put pressure on the opposition and catch the people.

Maryam Nawaz also said that Imran Khan is clinging to power after failures because he is afraid. He is so cruel that he is afraid of his fate.

FIR Against PML-N

On request of the National Accountability Bureau (NAB), an FIR had been lodged against the Pakistan Muslim League (N) activists for creating chaos.

As many as 300 activists of the PML-N, Maryam Nawaz, her husband Captain (retd) Safdar, and Rana Sana Ullah have been nominated in the FIR.
