The total count of active cases toll from the novel coronavirus in Pakistan dipped to 33,740 after 4,033 more people recovered from the infection during the past 24 hours.
According to the latest figures by National Command and Operation Centre (NCOC), the pandemic has claimed 52 more lives in the country in the past 24 hours bringing the national death toll to 10,461.
The total number of confirmed Covid-19 cases now stands at 492,594.
There are a total of 33,740 active cases of the coronavirus while the number of recovered patients stands at 448,393.
On Tuesday, the Federal Cabinet, which met in Islamabad with Prime Minister Imran Khan in the chair, approved setting up of an Inspection Committee to improve the quality of the country’s exports in the fisheries sector.
The committee will be responsible for the inspection of fish processing plants in the country.
It granted approval to the appointment of members to the Press Council of Pakistan.
The cabinet also offered Fateha for departed souls of martyred laborers of the Machh incident and Osama Satti who died of police firing in Islamabad, and martyrs of the armed forces.
