IG Islamabad Amir Zulfiqar removed from his post

Senior KP Police officer Qazi Jamil ur Rehman has now been appointed as the new Inspector General of Islamabad in place of Amir Zulfiqar on Wednesday.

A notification has also been issued in this regard. The recent development came after the killing of young boy Usama Satti who was shot to death by police officials at Srinagar Highway.

Today an anti-terrorism court (ATC) in Islamabad granted seven-day physical remand of the accused in the Usama Satti murder case.

According to the initial report of the incident, contrary to the statement of the police personnel, it was revealed that shots were not fired on the tyres and five out of total 17 shots were fired from the front of the car which led to the death of the youth.
