Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) has on Sunday announced to resume its regular passenger flight service to Saudi Arabia.
PIA’s spokesman in a statement asked the passengers with their seats already booked or those intending to fly to the Saudi Arabia approach its nearest office or contact the call centers via 111 786 786.
Those intending to fly to Saudi Arabia should ensure their corona PCR test conducted only at facilities approved by the Saudi government, the spokesman said.
Earlier, Saudi Arabia had permitted one way flight operations for Pakistan International Airlines (PIA).
According to the details, despite a one-way permit, PIA will operate flights for Pakistanis stranded in Saudi Arabia.
The Saudi government has allowed one-way flight operation to Pakistan due to new COVID strain.
A unilateral operation on the PIA will be a financial burden, but the return of Pakistanis stranded there is also inevitable. However on the directives of CEO Air Marshal Arshad Malik, PIA will launch flight operations on Monday.
PIA has always had always stood and worked effectively in difficult times. Bringing back Pakistanis stranded abroad is a national responsibility, CEO PIA said.
The cancelled flights of PIA include PK-9739 and PK-9739 from Multan-Jeddah-Lahore, including other flights i.e. Lahore-Dammam-Lahore, Islamabad-Dammam-Islamabad, Lahore-Jeddah-Lahore, Karachi-Madinah and Madinah-Karachi, Lahore-Madinah, Madinah-Multan and Madinah-Multan and Karachi-Jeddah-Karachi.
