A major chunk of social media users in Pakistan has supported open ballot voting for the upcoming Senate elections in a poll conducted by the ruling party Senator Faisal Javed Khan on his official Twitter handle.
According to the details, in the poll Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Senator Faisal Javed Khan asked social media users whether they support open ballot voting for the upcoming Senate elections or not.
Faisal Javed Khan in his latest tweet while declaring the results wrote that out of 23,111 votes 95 percent of people have voted ‘Yes’ to the open ballot voting for Senate Elections 2021.
With hashtag #SupportOpenBallot Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Senator Faisal Javed Khan said that, “We as a nation must join hands with Imran Khan to eliminate corruption at all levels.

Let it be known that the PTI government, in order to conduct Senate elections by open ballot in 2021, has approached the apex court under Article 186.
Supreme Court’s guidance has been sought in the presidential reference in order to amend Section 122 (6) of the Election Act, 2017 without amending the constitution.
Senate Elections 2021
The 2021 Pakistani Senate election will be held on or before 6 March 2021.
52 of the 104 Senators will be retiring on 5 March 2021. After the merger of the Federally Administered Tribal Areas with Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, FATA seats were abolished and there will be no election on 4 of the 8 seats. The rest of the 4 seats will also not be renewed in 2024.
