Peshawar Police Accused Of Killing 14-Year-Old Student

A 14-year-old student was killed in alleged police violence at Gharbi police station, Peshawar.

The victim’s father Khayal Akber claimed that the police had tortured him to death. He told the media that his son was a seventh-grade student in a private school and went outside to take some photos, where the police arrested him.

He further told that around 2:00 pm, the phone rang and the police informed him about his son’s arrest.

Khayal Akbar waited for three hours in the police station, however, he was later informed that his son had committed suicide.

The victim’s father accused the Peshawar police of the inhumane incident and appealed for justice.

Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister Muhammad Khan took notice of the incident and asked for a report from IG Khyber Pakhtunkhwa

CM KPK said,

“Officials involved in the incident will not be spared. Justice will be ensured to the affected family.”

Moreover, a clerk of the concerned police station has been arrested.
