Coronavirus cases are surging in Pakistan and the increase has compelled the authorities to discuss the health of the students.
Federal Minister for Education Shafqat Mehmood had said on Sunday that education and health ministers will gather for a meeting on Wednesday at the National Command and Operation Center (NCOC).
NCOC decides to increase lockdown restrictions amid surge in Covid-19 cases
Earlier, the National Command and Operation Centre (NCOC) in a meeting decided to increase restrictions of activities contributing to a sharp increase in covid positivity.
Federal Minister for planning Asad Umar announced in a tweet amid the meeting. He wrote that provincial & ICT administrations were also directed to tighten implementation of SOPs and a crackdown on violations that are taking place.
