A man forcedly marries a girl after her father fails to pay the debt

KHAIRPUR: A man forcibly married a 12-year-old girl in Khairpur after her father failed to pay the debt on time. According to reports, the incident occurred in the Ahmedpur area of Sindh’s Khairpur district, where a man failed to repay a Rs.20,000 loan.

Due to nonpayment, the principal amount grew to Rs150,000, and the accused stormed the man’s house, kidnapped his daughter at gunpoint, and later married her.

The 12-year-old victim claimed she was held captive in a room for eight days and raped, but then she eventually found her way back to her family.

The child claims that the police are doing nothing after the man and his associates raided her home, injuring her father, brother, and mother.

The family has urged that the upper management pay attention to the situation and provide them with justice.
