Police have registered a case against 10 to 12 motorcyclists for harassing, molesting a girl sitting in a rickshaw near Greater Iqbal Park.

According to details, a case was registered against 10 to 12 motorcyclists at Lari Ada police station. The identification of the harassers is underway and Police have obtained a record of safe city cameras installed in the vicinity of the park.

Punjab Chief Minister Usman Bazdar ordered the immediate arrest of the harasser who molested a girl sitting in the Qingqi rickshaw and demanded a report from IG Punjab.

After the video of the Minar e Pakistan incident in which a female Tiktoker was being molested and assaulted by crowds of men on August 14 in Lahore went viral, the video has left viewers shocked and evoking sharp denunciation from social media users.

Now another video reportedly from the same day has surfaced on social media in which it can be that a girl was molested by a man who chased her while she was sitting in a rickshaw.

In the said video two women can be seen sitting in a Qingqi rickshaw on a busy road of Lahore when a man chased and jumped onto the footboard of the vehicle and apparently kissed her on the cheek.

IG Punjab has sought a report of the incident from CCPO Lahore and has issued orders to identify and arrest the accused with the help of Safe City cameras.

Video triggered fury and outrage on social media, with many people calling for the government to take strict action against sexual harassers.
