ISLAMABAD: Prime Minister Imran Khan said on Thursday that the use of power is not a solution to address extremism.
Speaking at the 115th National Management Course, he said that today’s youth has accessibility of diverse content through mobile phones that can pave way for extremism and radicalisation.
He said that through Rehmatul-ul-Alimeen Authority his government will provide alternate opportunities to the young people for character building in accordance to the teaching of the Holy Prophet (PBUH).
The premier said that his government is committed to laying the foundation for long-term structural reforms for the country. “As a policymaker, I have two options either to make money from illegal means or to choose the path of grace and respect but that is marred with challenges.”

PM Imran appreciated the role of civil servants in helping the people of Pakistan. He called it a ‘massive responsibility’ on their shoulders.
He said that the multiple education boards in the country have produced disparity in the society and in order to address it the government intends to adopt a Single National Curriculum.
The premier said that due to the bad policies of the previous government, his government inherited massive loans. “Corona adversely impacted the global economy but the international economic institutions have acknowledged how Pakistan’s role in safeguarding its economy.”
