
ISLAMABAD: Flawless administrative and security arrangements have been made for the two-day 48th Session of Organisation of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) Council of Foreign Ministers in Islamabad, beginning from March 22.
This was stated by Foreign Office Spokesperson Asim Iftikhar while speaking at his weekly news briefing in Islamabad.
He said theme of the session – ‘Partnering for Unity, Justice, and Development’ – represented Pakistan’s commitment to foster unity within the Ummah, advance the cause of justice for all Muslims, and promote prosperity and sustainable development for OIC Member States.

The spokesperson said Prime Minister Imran Khan would make keynote address at the inaugural session.
He said Pakistan would seek to build partnerships and bridges of cooperation across the Islamic world to promote collective interests of the Ummah and to address the myriad of challenges confronting Muslims.
On March 15, Chief of Army Staff (COAS) General Qamar Javed Bajwa had presided over the Corps Commander Conference held at General Headquarters.
The forum was given a detailed briefing on important global/regional developments, internal security situation in the country & progress on Western Border Management Regime.
General Bajwa had directed that comprehensive security measures be ensured for peaceful conduct of the OIC Council of Foreign Ministers (CFM) meeting and Pakistan Day Parade.
The COAS had lauded successful ongoing counter-terrorism operations. The forum had expressed resolve to take all requisite measures to ensure the security of the country.
The COAS had appreciated the operational preparedness of the formations and emphasized on mission-oriented training.
