ISLAMABAD: Pakistan Muslim League-N (PML-N) President Shehbaz Sharif on Monday said Prime Minister Imran Khan, with a conspirative thinking, had violated the constitution by dissolving the assemblies.
“The yesterday’s day will be remembered as a black day in Pakistan’s history, when Imran Niazi imposed civilian martial law. Musharraf also did the same on Nov 3, 2007. Imran Niazi used the deputy speaker as a tool,” he said talking to media in Islamabad. Other opposition leaders including Pakistan Peoples Party Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari, Muttahida Qaumi Movement-Pakistan (MQM-P) Convener Khalid Maqbool Siddiqui, Jamiat Ulema e Islam-F (JUI-F) General Secretary Maulana Abdul Ghafoor Haideri and JUI-F leader Asad Mehmood were also present on this occasion.
Shehbaz Sharif said if no-confidence motion was unconstitutional then why it was added to the National Assembly session’s agenda for discussion. Dangerous joke was being played with the constitution, parliament and masses, he maintained.

He said Imran Khan had started distributing the certificates of treason. However, he said, they never called anyone a traitor.
The PML-N president asked if the alleged threat letter was received on March 7 then why the question was not raised on March 24 in the NA session on it.
He also said that he would not become a part of the consultation for the interim prime minister. “We demand early elections, but before elections we want reforms in law,” he said.
Whereas, Bilawal Zardari said even though the Supreme Court could not stop former army chiefs Zia ul Haq and Pervez Musharraf, but he hoped that it would stop Imran Khan’s steps. The apex court should decide whether Imran’s ego was more important or the constitution.
“The parties like ours are never happy over unconstitutional acts. The prime minister lifted the gun and committed suicide under our pressure,” he said.
He said removing the prime minister through the no-trust motion was a constitutional procedure. The PM himself did not know what blunder he had made, he maintained.
Khalid Maqbool Siddiqui said the PTI snatched 14 seats from his party, so they snatched power from the PTI. He said his party was ready to support Imran Khan, if he proved that the foreign powers were conspiring against him.
Asad Mehmood said they would never accept the interim government.
