
RAWALPINDI: Chief of the Army Staff (COAS) General Qamar Javed Bajwa expressed grief on the sad demise of renowned Pakistani Mountaineer Ali Raza Sadpara.
COAS also prayed for the departed soul, “May Allah Almighty bless the departed soul in eternal peace, Ameen”.

Famous Pakistani climber Ali Raza Sadpara succumbed to his injuries and passed away at the age of 56 in Skardu Friday morning.
On May 17, the mountaineer suffered severe injuries when he fell from the cliff, this summer he planned to attempt an ascent of K2, the world’s second-largest peak. After an accident, he was rushed into District Headquarters Hospital immediately in Skardu for his treatment and was diagnosed with a spinal cord fracture and broken ribs.
Earlier, on the directives of Chief of Army Staff (COAS) General Qamar Javed Bajwa, Bahawalpur Corps has devised a comprehensive plan to provide medical and relief facilities to drought affected people of Cholistan in coordination with the civil administration.
As per details, a free medical and drought relief camp has been established by Bahawalpur Corps at Chanan Pir, integrating a 42-bed capacity Heat Stroke Center.
