Former federal minister and Awami Muslim League (AML) chief Sheikh Rashid Ahmed said silence on the terrible devastation of the economy was a national sin.
Sheikh Rashid twitted on the social networking site Twitter that after the economic crisis, even her niece was requesting him to leave the government.
In the tweet, Sheikh Rashid wrote that the Supreme Court’s Suo moto decision yesterday barred the way to ending the cases of notorious politicians.

He said that the government’s conspiracy to make economic decisions in the National Security Council (NSC) could put the forces in new trouble, adding that silence on the terrible devastation of the economy was a national sin.
Sheikh Rashid added that this is not just a matter of inflation and the dollar being 204 rupees but also a matter of political life and death of the country.
He further wrote that he tells the nation and institutions to awake to save the country from catastrophe.
