Balochistan Budget for the Financial Year of 2022-23 was presented by provincial Finance Minister Abdul Rahman Khetran in the provincial assembly hall on Tuesday.

The total budget of Balochistan for the fiscal year is Rs612.7 billion

The minister announced that the government employees would get an increase in salaries by 15 percent.

Khetran said that no new tax has been imposed for the next financial year.

Around Rs 367 billion has been allocated for non-development expenditure.

The budget has a cost of development of 191.5 billion rupees.

The minister said that 2,851 new posts for youth are set for the next financial year.

Rs 133 billion has been earmarked for the ongoing schemes whereas Rs59billion set for new schemes.26 billion for non-development and Rs 12 billion have been placed in development mode for the health sector. He said that Rs 1.05 billion was allocated for the PPHI Operational Funds in the new financial year. The supply of medicines stands at Rs6.06 billion. The education sector will get Rs 9 billion in development and Rs61 billion in the non-development sector. The non-development budget allocated Rs 42 billion for Quetta-Aman and Rs 2 billion for development.
