ISLAMABAD: A three-member ministerial committee on Monday will present report to Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif regarding the issue of power outages in the country.

Bol News learned that the committee will brief the premier about the cause of the increased electricity shortage that left the nation in misery.

The committee will also suggest plans to reduce power outages across the country including the idea to close markets by 7 pm.

Not only this, the suggestion of two holidays per week is also included in the report to be presented before the prime minister.

Sources privy to the matter disclosed that PM Shehbaz Sharif will take the matter with the federal cabinet tomorrow and the approval for the suggested plans will be announced after consultation.

Earlier, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif chaired an emergency conference regarding recent power outages in the country. The unannounced load shedding in different residential areas of Pakistan has made the lives of the citizens miserable. The PM expressed his infuriation over continuous power cuts.

The Prime Minister directed to take all possible steps to reduce the electricity shortfall issue. He instructed the concerned officials in this regard and said that it is their responsibility to solve this problem immediately.

The meeting viewed the causes, triggers of load shedding and measures to prevent it. Whereas PML-N leaders Shahid Khaqan Abbasi, Muftah Ismail, Dr Musadik Malik and other members attended the important meeting.
