KARACHI: The verdict of the Anti-Terrorism Court (ATC) on Nazim Jokhio’s murder case for transferring the case to the session court was challenged in the Sindh High Court by the witness advocate Mazhar Junejo, BOL News reports.

According to the details, the plaintiffs of the case have also joined hands with the accused. The petition requested to the court that notices should be sent to the accused and the ATC who ignored the facts of this case, and the case shall continue to be summoned in the ATC.

The accused MNA of Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) Abdul Karim and MPA Jam Awais are influential members. They tortured the journalist Nazim Jokhio to death for filming their foreign guests who were hunting Houbara Bustards in the area of Memon Goth, Karachi. Jokhio’s tortured corpse was allegedly found at the farmhouse of Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) lawmakers on November 3, 2021. MPA Jam Awais, his elder brother MNA Jam Abdul Karim, and their two foreign guests, servants, and guards had been booked for abducting and torturing 27-year-old environmental activist Jokhio to dead at the lawmakers’ farmhouse in Malir on November 3, 2021.
The victim’s brother Afzal Jokhio had nominated lawmakers Awais, Karim, and others for murdering Nazim Jokhio.

The witness of the court told in front of the court that the acts of terrorism should be revised on the indicted.
