PIA should take steps to attract other airlines’ business :Aviation Minister

• Pakistan International Airlines(PIA) should take such steps that other airlines’ business should come towards PIA, Federal Minister for Aviation Khawaja Saad Rafique
• Khawaja Saad Rafique visited the PIA head office in Karachi, where he was briefed by the board of directors, and Chief executive officer (CEO) Amir Hayat. The board told the aviation minister about the current performance and future planning of PIA.

KARACHI: Pakistan International Airlines(PIA) should take such steps that other airlines’ business should come towards PIA, Federal Minister for Aviation Khawaja Saad Rafique told media on Thursday.

Khawaja Saad Rafique visited the PIA head office in Karachi, where he was briefed by the board of directors, and Chief executive officer (CEO) Amir Hayat. The board told the aviation minister about the current performance and future planning of PIA. During his visit, the issues and challenges faced by the PIA were also reviewed.

Khawaja Saad Rafique directed the PIA officials to improve the quality of their services and use the available resources to the best of their ability. He appreciated the officials for the flight kitchen services.

The aviation minister writes on Twitter about his visit to the PIA head office and said, “Visited PIA HQ Karachi. Reviewed all the challenges facing PIA, including financial and operational difficulties. Directed the PIA officials to improve the quality of service and use the available resources to the best of their ability.”

The aviation minister emphasized that all possible expenses of PIA have to be saved while new sources of revenue have to be exploited. He said that for the development of PIA, there would be efforts from within PIA, and the management and workers would have to work together to develop it with sincerity.

PIA is an honor for the nation, and efforts have to be made in the national spirit and state interest to keep its lodge. “we will work without any pressure in the PIA reform process, and the PIA administration will be fully supported.”
