THATTA: Continuous water shortage in Thatta and Sajawal has devastated the agricultural economy, Bol News reports on Thursday.
Due to the severe water shortage in Thatta, the crops are on the brink of collapse.
The king of flowers ‘rose’ also began to wither. Paddy crop is severely affected.
Other crops like Banana, sugar cane, betel leaf, and other vegetables are drying due to water shortage, Bol News reports.
The irrigation minister of Sindh Jam Khan Shoro previously said that the negligence of the Indus River System Authority (IRSA) can damage billions of worth of wheat. The results started to appear as Sindh is facing an alarming situation.

Due to drought, the farmers have lost crores of rupees and are facing the toughest situation.
In April, IRSA gave a shortage of 34 percent to Punjab whereas Sindh was provided 42 percent of the shortfall.
According to the current stats, Sindh was hand overed 47 percent shortage and 31 percent for Punjab.
In May, The shortfall increased in by IRSA for Sindh. If the province does not receive the necessary amount of water, the situation will deteriorate, according to Sindh’s irrigation minister.
